Women Empowerment through Education and Training
Education is the key to women’s empowerment. Through it, women have better access and opportunities in the workforce, leading to increased income and less isolation at home or exclusion from financial decisions. With an education, women can live their dreams by pursuing their own goals and values Vocational Training programme is introduced to enhance livelihood opportunities of women who are at a disadvantageous position and have a scant exposure to technical skills and knowledge. HIV/AIDS/TB/Malaria
- One of our key agenda is to introduce 4th generation Ag/Ab testing kits at VCT centers for the following reason.
- Early detection of HIV infection helps for early intervention of HAART / counselling in pregnent mothers who are infected and there by reduce the risk of transmission to the unborn child. Early detection of infection promotes the prompt referral for initiation of treatment, counselling, prevention and interventions to reduce the risk of transmission. The risk of viral transmission is very high during the primary phase of infection.
- We wish to introduce more qualitative PCR DNA, quantitative PCR RNA , CD4 count and genotypic / penotypic diagnostic equipments and HIV testing labs on wheels.
- We need adequate transport facilities to reach out more into rural areas.
- we need slide projectors, PA systems and office equipments.
- We want to work more closely at community level and have more radio programmes in local languages.
- We wish to write a comprehensive book on HIV / AIDS that covers all topics in detail such as the one we cover in our HIV / AIDS workshops, we welcome partners and fundings for this endeavour, We also wish to produce audio DVD’s and video DVD’s on HIV/AIDS.
